The affection here is for the family-run character: the same family has run the hill for decades, and it shows in reviews where staff remember guests by name. Lift lines are described as the shortest anywhere, and the ticket price as one of the last sensible ones left in Utah. Snowfall is generous while the mountain stays uncrowded. Beginners get the separate Little Beaver pocket plus long green runs linking the principal chairs.
Ageing hardware is the main complaint: every lift is old, slow and fixed-grip, so rides drag on. There is no snowmaking, which means late openings and a season at the mercy of the weather. The skiable area is modest and offers less variety than the big Utah resorts, and there is nothing to stay in at the base. Strong skiers run out of options quickly too: there are no double-black runs at all.
