What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the price and the snow: tickets cost far less than at comparable resorts, the snow is dry and light, queues do not form, and midweek the slopes are all but empty. The expert terrain is excellent: steeps, bowls, gullies and lift-accessed backcountry. Bozeman is twenty-five minutes away.
The lifts draw criticism for being slow, as does the fact that the best terrain has to be earned on foot along the ridge. Much of the steep in-bounds ground requires avalanche gear, without which you are simply not let through. There is no lodging on the hill; you sleep in Bozeman.
