What visitors say about the resort
Price and emptiness drive the praise. A day pass at around forty dollars is called remarkable value, lift lines simply do not form, and Montana locals turn up specifically for first tracks. The black runs down the right-hand side get singled out - long, with a steady consistent pitch - and the tree skiing is decent. Parking sits right beside the lift, and the summit view opens over the Grasshopper Valley.
The single slow lift is the main gripe, compounded by the area opening only four days a week, which makes trips hard to plan. Snowfall is unreliable: some winters are outright poor and coverage turns thin in places. Genuinely steep terrain is in short supply. Facilities amount to a small lodge with food and a bar, so there is no apres-ski at all. It is also a long drive from any of Montana's larger towns.
