The Corvatsch top station at 3,303 m is the highest in Graubünden, and the view differs sharply either side: the ice walls of Piz Bernina and Piz Roseg on one hand, the chain of Engadine lakes on the other. A nine-kilometre run drops from here towards St. Moritz, along with one of the longest floodlit pistes in Switzerland, open late on Friday evenings. There are not many groomed runs, but the cirques around the top station offer off-piste on a genuinely high-alpine scale. Furtschellas on the adjacent flank connects to Corvatsch along the ridge.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the altitude and the aspect: the top station at 3,303 metres is the highest in Graubünden, the slopes face north, and the snow holds from mid-November into early May. The panorama from the summit - the Bernina on one side, the Upper Engadine lakes on the other - is called among the finest in Switzerland. The pistes are mostly red, so confident skiers have room, and the longest floodlit run in the country drops from mid-mountain for night skiing.
The lifts draw criticism: some of the equipment is noticeably dated, though a few of the older chairs have been fitted with hoods. Beginners are short of space, with the nursery slopes few and down in the valley. Prices are Engadine ones, which is to say high.
