Bivio is a ski resort in the Graubunden region (Switzerland). Gentle runs predominate, so the resort suits beginners and families with children.

The ski area rises from 1,769 to 2,560 m, with a vertical drop of 791 m. The vertical is enough for long runs with noticeable changes in terrain. The upper pistes are high, so snow lasts longer than on the neighbouring lower slopes. The season usually runs from 11 December to 18 April.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for empty slopes and freeriding. Four T-bars lift you to 2,560 metres, nearly 800 vertical above the village, and open powder fields start at the top of every one of them - visitors describe circling low-angle off-piste all day after a snowfall without meeting anybody. Bivio is widely called a ski touring mecca, while the wide open bowls have become a favourite with snowkiters.
The lift system draws the criticism: all four are drags and they are long, so legs give out by mid-afternoon - there is even a bench at the top of the longest one where grateful skiers sit down to recover. Anyone wanting fast chairlifts and a varied piste map will be disappointed. Some find the terrain too flat, and after windy spells reports of scoured, icy surfaces are common. The village is tiny, apres-ski barely exists, and residents have voiced fears for the resort's future.
