What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the lifts and the grooming: two six-seater chairlifts, one with bubbles and heated seats, look unexpectedly modern for an area this size. Reviewers note wide, immaculately groomed runs cut through forest clearings, almost no crowding, and cosy huts serving regional food. The valley descents to Mauterndorf and St Martin are called excellent after fresh snow, and the area is described as sunny and sheltered.
Wind is what draws criticism: it shuts the lifts fairly often, and in bad weather you either take the shuttle from the car park or drive the mountain road with chains. Early in the season people complain about ice, and late in the day about stones coming through. There is no village at the lift base - accommodation is scattered across the region, and even from the valley station you still walk uphill to the ticket office. Apres-ski amounts to a single bar by the lift.
