Worth knowing

Katschberg ski resort is located on the border between Salzburg and Carinthia. At Katschberghöhe, the two ski mountains Aineck and Tschaneck offer reliable skiing within easy reach of the Tauernautobahn motorway. The area is also linked to Sankt Margarethen im Lungau. One of the highlights of this winter sports resort is undoubtedly its many mountain huts, which offer skiers special lunch breaks with a rustic atmosphere and regional specialities.

Katschberg ski resort is great fun for children. Attractions include the mascot Katschi, which can be found on the slopes. The Katschi Kinderland children's area on Aineck provides additional childcare for children aged 3 to 6. Older children practise on child-friendly slopes in Katschi's Children's World and on a special obstacle course that winds through a series of talking Katschi figures.

Children can have almost endless fun here, and they practically have to be carried into the nearby enclosed heated area.
