Innerkrems is a ski resort in the Carinthia region (Austria). Most of the skiing is on intermediate runs - a profile that suits most skiers.
Worth knowing
The ski area rises from 1 550 to 2 200 m, with a vertical drop of 650 m. The vertical drop is enough for long runs with noticeable changes in terrain. The season usually runs from 17 December to 26 March.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the pistes: broad, beautifully groomed and fast, with a genuine race training slope that national teams, the Austrians included, use for camps. The altitude is credited with reliable natural snow, and the emptiness is a recurring theme - the runs stay uncrowded even in season. Almost everyone mentions the value: both the pass and the mountain food cost noticeably less than at better-known neighbours.
The lifts on the north side draw the sharpest criticism, described as hopelessly outdated, with the old two-seater taking roughly a quarter of an hour. There is only one modern four-seater, and on busy days a queue forms at it. The Jauchzerhütte is overwhelmed on Saturdays, with long waits for food. The approach road from the motorway is awkward and parking is charged. Expert terrain is thin.
