The upper mountain earns the compliments: the La 2000 chair delivers you to an open plateau that reviewers call the resort's trump card, with a couple of black runs and good freeride fields. The pistes are described as wide and varied, with the panoramic outlook typical of the Apennines. The area sits on the north flank of Monte Cusna inside a national park, gets abundant snowfall and holds it high up into late spring.
Reliability is the sore point. The lifts run only from Thursday to Sunday, and reviews complain bluntly about closed chairs and a lack of investment. The resort went through a long shutdown: in the summer of 2023 strong winds wrecked the top station of the chairlift, damage exceeded 220 thousand euros, and it reopened only a year later. The choice of runs is modest and the score on specialist catalogues stays low, at 2.5 out of five.
