The Gemsstock ski resort in SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun is a paradise for demanding skiers and experts. It has only difficult and intermediate slopes for skiing and snowboarding, including the famous Bernhard-Russi-Run glacier slope. At Gemsstock, at almost 3000 m, you can enjoy a sensational panoramic view of more than 600 peaks. In addition to glacier pistes, there are many freeride routes, making Gemsstock a popular destination for freeriders. It is also the venue for one of Switzerland's most popular open freeride events, the "King of the Mountain". But Gemsstock also has something to offer classic alpine skiers: those fit enough for very long runs can ski from the summit of Gemsstock down to the valley in Andermatt - on black pistes.

Worth knowing

The Gemsstock ski resort has only difficult and intermediate slopes for skiing and snowboarding. First-class freeride areas complement the offering. The slopes are wide and located in high alpine terrain. Only the valley run leading to Andermatt passes through forest in its lower section. The pistes at Gemsstock are among the most beautiful in the entire Alpine region.
