Glungezer - Tulfes

Skiing is especially enjoyable at Glungezer ski resort. Families particularly appreciate the small lifts, where a welcoming atmosphere remains a priority, allowing visitors to enjoy the mountain without crowded slopes. From any of the resort villages in the Hall-Wattens region, the nearest ski slopes are no more than 15 minutes away. Glungezer offers one of the longest runs in Tyrol, with a 15-kilometre valley run. Skiers and snowboarders can explore more than 23 km of slopes in total, ranging from 950 to 2,304 metres above sea level, into late spring. Rustic mountain huts treat guests to Tyrolean cuisine and help warm their fingers and toes. Ski tourers can experience the high Alpine atmosphere during a safe ascent and recharge with dumplings or soup before heading back up the mountain.

Worth knowing

Glungezer mainly offers intermediate slopes. Schartenkogel has several freeride areas and one difficult run. Easy slopes lead from the mid-station down to the valley. In total, you can ski 15 km from Schartenkogel to the valley.

30 snow cannons cover 80% of the slopes.

There is a valley run from the slopes. One of the longest runs in Tyrol leads to the base station in Tulfes.

Longest run

The longest run here is Schartenkogel-Tulfes, 13.5 km long, with a vertical drop of 1,354 m. One of the longest runs in Tyrol.

Most difficult run

The most difficult run is Kanonenrohr and Verlängerung, 1 km long, with a vertical drop of 200 m.

Snowparks

There is no snowpark or fun park.

There is no halfpipe.

A modern 10-person gondola runs from the valley to the ski resort. The resort also has a double chairlift that takes you to the highest point. Otherwise, there are T-bars and beginner lifts.
