The ski area rises from 1,014 to 2,230 m, with a vertical drop of 1,216 m. This vertical drop allows you to ski from top to bottom without changing lifts and noticeably changes the conditions along the descent. The season usually runs from 21 November to 18 April.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the family set-up and the prices: children under ten ski free, while passes and rental cost roughly 40 percent less than on the neighbouring Stubai Glacier. The mood is described as relaxed, the runs uncrowded and lift queues almost non-existent. Getting there without a car is easy, with the STB tram and buses from Innsbruck. Reviewers also note that for such a modest-looking area it hides genuine big-mountain terrain.
Mountain catering draws the complaints, with food and drink called plainly overpriced. Another irritation is that a Schlick-only pass is no longer sold: you buy the combined valley ticket including the glacier whether or not you intend to go there. Snowboarders get caught out by the long flat link back to the gondola, which has to be scooted, and the valley descent becomes unreliable in cover towards the end of the season.
