Grächen

The praise is above all for families: the indoor playground on Hannigalp comes with a free day nursery where children can be left while the adults ski. Almost everybody agrees that lift queues are practically nonexistent and that the pistes and snowpark are carefully maintained. The sunny aspect and the resort's honest, unembellished snow reporting get mentioned, as do the slopeside Schnööbar and Stafelbar.

Price is the usual grievance: Grächen is called far too expensive for what it delivers, and one complaint recalls a pass increase applied retroactively to vouchers already bought. The second most frequent gripe is closed pistes - people pay for a full pass and then ski a reduced area. Size is a limit too, since strong skiers exhaust it quickly. Parking is described as tight, and outside peak weeks the village strikes some visitors as a ghost town.
