Hohsaas - Saas-Grund

The sunny Hohsaas ski resort is located above Saas-Grund. A gondola takes visitors up to 2,400 m at Kreuzboden, where there are wide beginner slopes, a children's area, a funicular, snowparks and restaurants. At the Hohsaas mountain station, located at 3,142 m, there are no easy slopes for skiing and snowboarding, but there are challenging glacier slopes. From here, you can enjoy spectacular views of 18 four-thousand-metre peaks in the Saas Valley. The valley run leads back to the base in Saas-Grund, while a ski route leads down to Saas-Balen.

Good to know

Hohsaas ski resort mainly offers intermediate slopes. The view of the eternal ice is breathtaking. The glacier slopes are very wide, with good gradients. There are easy slopes around the Kreuzboden lift station. The slope to Trift station and down to the base is intermediate.

70 snow cannons cover 65% of the slopes.

There is a descent from the slopes into the valley. The valley run leads down to Saas-Grund. The ski route leads to Saas-Balen.

Longest run

The longest run here is Hohsaas Valley, 8 km long, with a vertical drop of 1,583 m.

Most difficult run

The most challenging run is Glacier Hohkraut, 2 km long, with a vertical drop of 400 m.

Skiline

An 8-person gondola takes you from the base station in Saas-Grund via the Trift mid-station on the mountainside to Kreuzboden at 2,400 m. From there, the modern 8-person Icecab gondola takes you to the Hohsaas mountain station at 3,142 m. The two gondolas provide access to all the slopes at Hohsaas ski resort. The Kreuzboden station also has a T-bar lift, a suspended lift and a training lift.
