Good to know
The Saas-Fee ski resort has pistes for all ability levels. Most of the slopes are above the treeline and are generally very wide. The slopes on the glacier plateau are very steep at the top and then become progressively flatter. Around the Morenia station on the 6-seater chairlift, there are many intermediate slopes. The slopes from Längfluh via Spielboden to Saas-Fee are very impressive. They take you past mighty glaciers and continue through very rocky terrain. There are several very challenging slopes on Plattjen. The lower slopes lead through forest clearings to Saas-Fee. Down in the valley, there are wide, easy pistes for beginners. In summer, the glacier ski area has around 20 km of pistes.

Skiline
Alpin Express, a three-cable circulating ropeway, runs from Saas-Fee to the ski resort in two sections. The world's highest underground funicular, Metro Alpin, takes you up to 3,500 m. At the top of the glacier, the only access to the pistes is via drag lifts. On the outskirts of Saas-Fee, you will find the 6-seater Plattjen gondola to the summit of Plattjen and the 10-seater Spielboden gondola (sections 1 and 2). From Spielboden, a cable car and a 4-seater chairlift take you up to the drag lifts on the glacier. The Felskinn cable car, featured in Wham's “Last Christmas” video, helps Alpin Express transport winter sports enthusiasts to the ski area. A highlight in Saas-Fee is the 6-seater high-speed detachable Morenia chairlift, which serves numerous slopes between Morenia and Felskinn. Another drag lift leads to Egginerjoch. In the valley, there are two drag lifts and three button lifts, mainly used by beginners and children.
