KitzSki - Kitzbühel/Kirchberg

Kitzbühel is where skiing began. Regular ski races have been held here since 1895. For decades, it has been regarded as the world’s best-known international venue for winter championships. Kitzbühel’s fantastic slopes make it an irresistible destination for many visitors. The unique combination of a traditional and modern resort attracts skiers and celebrities from around the world. An excellent selection of luxury hotels and unbeatable après-ski, including numerous events, make this winter sports resort and the town of Kitzbühel a special destination.

Everyone can find their ideal slope here. The key areas - Ganslernhang, Hausbergkante and Mausefalle - are known around the world. Pleasant, wide slopes run across extensive alpine meadows and through clearings in the forest. You can ski from Kitzbühel to Pass Thurn and back. The slopes are very wide and well groomed.

Good to know

Kitzbüheler Horn is not directly connected to the integrated Kitzbühel/Kirchberg ski resort.

1,116 snow cannons cover 90% of the slopes.

Valley runs lead to all base stations except Hollersbach. One of the 14 valley runs even leads to the village of Kirchberg.

Longest run

The longest descent here is KitzSki Extended (via 16a, 16, 26, 25b), measuring 8.3 km with a vertical drop of 1,200 m.

Most difficult runs

The most challenging run is Direttissima (Schlagl) No. 38, measuring 1.5 km with a vertical drop of 520 m.

Streif racecourse No. 21. Length: 3.8 km. Vertical drop: 900 m. This is the venue for the world-famous annual Hahnenkamm Race. The slope is marked as an extreme ski route and is recommended only for true experts.

Snowparks

“Snowpark Hanglalm”: 18 jumps, rails and boxes - 10. There is a beginner line and an airbag for practising jumps. According to the resort’s official website.

Night skiing

Night skiing is available at the resort.

Over the past few years, the lifts at Kitzbühel/Kirchberg ski resort have been modernised, and visitors now have access to state-of-the-art lifts with hoods and heated seats. From the valleys, you can reach the ski area on modern gondolas. The resort also has tow lifts, platter lifts and magic carpets.
