The Skicircus is named for its shape: the lifts and runs of Saalbach, Hinterglemm, Leogang and Fieberbrunn form a loop that can be ridden in a day without repeating yourself. They joined up in 2015/16, and the area now crosses a provincial border, from Tyrol into Salzburg. Fieberbrunn stands slightly apart: its north-facing slopes hold snow longer than the rest, and a Freeride World Tour stop is held there. Saalbach and Hinterglemm, by contrast, are known for an après-ski scene that starts at the bottom stations.
