The praise is for logistics: Krvavec sits a short drive from Ljubljana and only a few kilometres from the airport, which makes a spontaneous day trip realistic. Snow cover is rated dependable, and the sun often shines above a cloud layer sitting below the slopes - the views are what reviewers remember. Most lifts are modern, though one retro single chair survives. Parents value the long, gentle blue runs, and the day pass is seen as fair money.

Queues draw the loudest criticism: in high season and at weekends the lines stretch out, because the resort is visited mainly by Slovenes and Croatians who all turn up at once. The lifts themselves are slow, so getting back to the top eats into the day. Grooming is called acceptable but a step below Italian or Austrian standards. Easy blues are also scarce while red pistes dominate, leaving a newly confident beginner with nowhere obvious to go.
