The praise goes to the lifts and the state of the pistes, both called first class, helped by some 14 million euros poured into new lifts and development. Panoramas come up constantly: below the Pic d'Anie the view opens onto the Spanish Pyrenees, Béarn and the Basque Country, and from the long blue Boulevard des Pyrénées you can pick out the ocean on a clear day. Staff and the tourist office are called helpful, and the resort is rated cheap and snowy.
Evenings are the main target of criticism: apres-ski is quiet and outside school holidays there is little going on. The ski area is built mainly for beginners and families, with barely any black runs, so a confident skier runs out of options fast. The opposite verdict on money also appears - a few visitors decided the resort was not worth its price. Parking is credited as motorhome-friendly, with spaces by the shopping gallery.
