The praise is for a cheap, quiet way into the Four Valleys: queues at Savoleyres are rare, prices sit well below Verbier's, and the same big domain is there to be skied. The north-facing aspect is the trump card, holding snow far longer than Verbier's sunny side, with untracked powder still found once the neighbour is skied out. Wide cruising runs and tree-lined descents to the village win compliments.
