Ponte di Legno/Tonale/Presena Glacier/Temù (Pontedilegno-Tonale)

Between Trentino and Lombardy, slopes and lifts connect the villages of Temù and Ponte di Legno in Val Camonica via Passo Tonale to the Presena Glacier, forming the Pontedilegno-Tonale ski resort. The peaks of Cima Presena (3069 m), Cima Cadì (2606 m) and Monte Tonale (2694 m) rise above the ski slopes. From forest runs to glacier terrain, the ski resort has something for everyone. Passo Tonale has grown from a stopping point into a lively winter sports resort. Ponte di Legno is located in a sunny spot at 1258 m above sea level. It enjoys an important climate location and is a mountain tourist resort in both summer and winter, as well as the most important town in Val Camonica.

Worth knowing

Pontedilegno-Tonale has an excellent choice of slopes, with runs for all ability levels. Passo Tonale is mainly served by easy and intermediate runs on open, sunny slopes. At the Presena Glacier, skiing takes place in high-mountain terrain. Other highlights include the 11-km run from Passo Presena to Ponte di Legno and night skiing at Passo Tonale and Ponte di Legno.

Longest run

The longest descent here is Passo Presena - Ponte di Legno, measuring 11 km with a vertical drop of 1691 m. Starting at 3000 m at Passo Presena, it continues over the Presena Glacier and Passo Paradiso to the Sozzine chairlift in Ponte di Legno at 1309 m. It is one of the longest runs in Europe.

Most difficult run

Paradiso. Length: 3 km. Vertical drop: 737 m.

This difficult black run descends steeply from Passo Paradiso into the valley. It is accessed from the Paradiso gondola.

Snowparks

“Snowpark Tonale”: there is a beginner line, with a boardercross run nearby. According to the resort's official website.

Night skiing

The ski resort offers night skiing.

The lifts at the Pontedilegno-Tonale ski resort are generally modern. The Temù ski area was completely renovated in 2005 and therefore has modern equipment. Passo Tonale has numerous modern chairlifts, including four-seater lifts, to carry skiers to the slopes.
