Meiringen-Hasliberg

Strap on the “two planks that mean peace” and enjoy winter from every angle. The 60 km of varied pistes, linked by 13 modern lifts, provide an excellent, well-groomed base for a great winter holiday. Skiers will feel at home on the lifts and special facilities in the Skiessland area. The wide slopes on Hochstraess, natural gullies on Planplatten and romantic pistes through the forest offer ideal conditions for pure winter sports. There are also excellent alternatives for those who are not drawn to snowboarding or skiing: various winter hiking routes and sledding runs are available. The only thing still needed for a perfect winter day is varied, high-quality food, and that is provided too!

Worth knowing

Meiringen-Hasliberg has pistes for all ability levels. Most pistes are intermediate. The easy pistes are mainly in the lower part of the ski resort, for example between Bidmi and Reuti or on the Twing valley run. Experienced skiers will find challenging pistes on Planplatten and between Hochstraess and Maegisalp. Freeriders will appreciate the extensive slopes above the treeline, located above Maegisalp and Kaeserstatt.

75 snow cannons cover 30% of the pistes.

There is a descent to the valley from the pistes. In the western part, you can ski down to Hasliberg Wasserwendi (Twing base station). In the eastern part, you can ski down to Hasliberg Reuti. Both valley runs descend on blue pistes. There is no valley run to Meiringen, only a winter hiking route.

Longest piste

The longest descent here is Alpen tower-Reuti, 8.5 km long, with a vertical drop of 1170 m.

Most difficult piste

No. 17 (Nordpol), 1.5 km long. Vertical drop: 540 m. The steepest piste in the ski resort descends beneath the gondola lift from Alpen tower to Maegisalp.

Night skiing

Night skiing is available at the ski resort.

Winter sports enthusiasts will find high-speed, comfortable lifts above all on Hasliberg. The six-person Bidmi-Kaeserstatt chairlift was built in 2013. It stands out for its child safety features and weather protection. The two gondola lifts ascending from Hasliberg Wasserwendi and Hasliberg Reuti also provide a fast and comfortable way up to the ski resort. The ascent from Meiringen to Reuti is by an aerial tramway with very limited capacity. This can lead to waits in Meiringen on busy days.
