Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park

Night skiing is what reviewers single out - it is the mountain's real calling card in the Spokane area. The terrain is almost entirely in trees, so flat light and wind stay manageable and the lifts rarely shut. Snow keeps its dry quality through most of the season, the run mix balances groomers, powder and glades, and chair 6 serves a couple of bump runs you can usually ride without a line. The long sledding hill gets good marks too.

The lifts are the sore point: all of them except chair 6 are considered overdue for replacement. Beginner terrain is thin - the carpet is very short, and the slope under lift 5 doubles as the main route back to the lodge, so people come flying through. Snow quality lags behind other resorts in the region, and ungroomed lower runs turn crusty and icy. The access road is a long, steep, narrow climb without guardrails, and the night ticket keeps going up.
