Nesselwang lies in the Allgäu and has a skiing history close to a century old, among the oldest in these mountains. The skiing circles the 1,575 m Alpspitze, served by two combination lifts of eight-person cabins and four-seat chairs. The runs are nearly all easy with nothing black, but there is a park with kickers and rails. In the evenings the floodlights come on, and the park works alongside the piste.

On crowded weekends visitors grumble that the Stellenbichl lift stays idle while a queue builds at the base. Some beginners, by contrast, found individual sections steeper than they had expected.
