What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for the snowmaking and for the fact that in good winters the pistes hold up: after snowfalls guests describe full days of skiing on solid cover. Reviewers point to the carpet lift billed as Europe's longest, which rescues beginners, and to the modern installations in the upper part of the area. Being close to Rome makes it a convenient weekend target.
Queues and ageing hardware draw criticism: on busy days visitors stood in a kilometre-long line for passes and over an hour at a lift for a single descent, while part of the terrain still had no snow. Reviews count only three modern lifts, calling the rest slow and old. Strong wind has made some runs unusable and closed others outright. Paid parking is another irritation.
