Slope preparation earns the loudest applause, and even industry test reports single it out: the pistes stay in excellent shape when the thermometer is already well into double-digit plus figures. The lifts are modern, with an eight-seat panorama gondola from a new valley station with multi-storey parking and six- and eight-seat chairs above, and queues barely form. The mountain restaurants, funpark, fun slope and toboggan run get praise too.

Sameness is the drawback. Black runs are almost non-existent, so a strong skier has little to work with, and the mountain is built mainly from reds of broadly similar difficulty. That cuts both ways: skiers who have just left the nursery slopes miss long blue runs as a next step, and the jump to the rest of the mountain feels abrupt. Reviewers honestly describe it as a weekend option, particularly as it has no lift link to the bigger neighbours.
