Rosa Khutor slopes
The slopes at Rosa Khutor have an Olympic format - rows of fast and very wide high-speed pistes. But that is not all. Gentle forest pistes with limited gradient, high-altitude slopes with magnificent panoramic views, steep slopes, mogul slopes and training areas can all be found here.

Most difficult slope
Most difficult slope Sumasshedshiy Khutor • Length 4.6 km • Vertical drop 1,201 m. A direct route from Rosa Peak to the finish area of the Olympic race pistes. The most difficult section is right at the beginning - a narrow couloir between rocks. Olympic downhill Men's Olympic Downhill (the downhill event at the Olympic men's competition) Clearly, the men's Olympic downhill is a must when visiting Rosa Khutor.

Lifts and pistes
With around €1.7 billion invested here by 2014, only the best will do. The oldest lifts date from 2010, and you will find a T-bar lift only in the halfpipe. What visitors say about the resort
Rosa Khutor is most often praised for its scale and grooming: a vertical drop of more than 1.5 km, long pistes from Rosa Pik down, and a level of service unusual for the Russian mountains. The lifts are also singled out for praise - complaints about queues are noticeably less frequent than at neighboring resorts.
The main complaints are the price and the weather. A lift pass and accommodation in Krasnaya Polyana cost about as much as in the Alps, while the lower ski area is often shrouded in fog and affected by rain: in February it can be raining at the bottom while a snowstorm is raging above. During holidays and weekends, visitors write about crowds at the lower lifts and in restaurants. The most common advice is to go on weekdays and stay higher up, at Rosa Plato.
