What visitors say about the resort

Arkhyz is praised for its snow and prices: dry North Caucasus snow lasts until April, while lift passes and accommodation are noticeably cheaper than in Sochi. Visitors highlight the wide, gentle runs on the North Slope - convenient for learning - and the almost complete lack of queues on weekdays.

The same complaints recur from review to review: there are few runs for confident skiers, the resort quickly "runs out", and the journey is difficult - three to four hours from Mineralnye Vody along a winding mountain road. Visitors also mention the wind: the upper lifts close more often than they would like. The overall verdict from reviews is that it is a strong choice for families and beginners, but a little dull for experienced skiers.
