Price and lift condition are where the grumbling starts. Some guests say bluntly that they expected more for the money. A number of lifts are old and overdue for replacement, and the button lifts are too steep for beginner snowboarders, who are advised to look elsewhere. Altitude is a separate gripe: the base station sits at just 850 m, so skiers usually have to ride the Bettex gondola back down instead of skiing out.
