Trails wind between valleys, wide slopes, fir trees, chalets and Alpine farms. To ensure optimum comfort, 175 snow cannons supplement the natural snow at the beginning and end of the season.
Note that the Escape Mont-Blanc pass allows skiing in Les Contamines, as well as Saint-Gervais, Megève, Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, Combloux and La Giettaz. There are six areas in total, offering more than 445 km of pistes.
Finally, Les Contamines has one of the few biathlon stadiums open all winter. Called the "4 Seasons" stadium, it is located near the cross-country skiing centre. As part of national and international competitions, young high-level biathletes from Pays du Mont-Blanc also regularly train here.

Those who want to improve their skills and have fun should head to the northern cross-country skiing area or the biathlon area. The nearest airport to Les Contamines is Geneva.
