Trails wind between valleys, wide slopes, fir trees, chalets and Alpine farms. To ensure optimum comfort, 175 snow cannons supplement the natural snow at the beginning and end of the season.

Note that the Escape Mont-Blanc pass allows skiing in Les Contamines, as well as Saint-Gervais, Megève, Saint-Nicolas-de-Véroce, Combloux and La Giettaz. There are six areas in total, offering more than 445 km of pistes.

Finally, Les Contamines has one of the few biathlon stadiums open all winter. Called the "4 Seasons" stadium, it is located near the cross-country skiing centre. As part of national and international competitions, young high-level biathletes from Pays du Mont-Blanc also regularly train here.

Set in a magnificent landscape, this charming village has become a popular tourist destination thanks to the creation of a large and varied ski area that offers skiing while preserving its welcoming architecture. Les Contamines is a great delight for ski enthusiasts. The northern ski area in Les Contamines covers 23.5 km of marked and groomed pistes, set in beautiful Alpine surroundings. The area opens at the first signs of snow. However, the area is reserved for beginners. Those who want to improve their skills and have fun should head to the northern cross-country skiing area or the biathlon area. The nearest airport to Les Contamines is Geneva.
