St. Anton/St. Christoph/Stuben/Lech/Zürs/Warth/Schröcken - Ski Arlberg

In the 2016/2017 winter season, St. Anton / St. Christoph / Stuben / Lech / Zürs / Warth / Schröcken joined together to form the Ski Arlberg ski resort.

Ski Arlberg is the largest interconnected ski resort in Austria. Skiing, snowboarding and freeriding terrain stretches from St. Anton am Arlberg in Tyrol to St. Christoph and Stuben in Vorarlberg, then on to Zürs, Lech and Schröcken and all the way to Warth. The new 10-person Flexen gondola (the lift between Zürs and Stuben / Alpe Rauz), which opened in the 2016/2017 season, completes the circuit and provides a direct link to every village in this extensive ski resort. This winter sports region is considered one of the best ski resorts and is popular with everyone who enjoys alpine winter. St. Anton, an après-ski mecca, is very popular with partygoers. Families will find a quieter setting in Zürs, Warth and Schröcken.

Worth knowing

The St. Christoph / Stuben area has first-class slopes, offering plenty of terrain at all difficulty levels, numerous pistes and lots of freeride opportunities. The great variety provides plenty of fun on the slopes. The Auenfeldjet gondola linked the Warth / Schröcken ski resort with Lech / Zürs in the 2013/2014 season. This area offers a very good mix of easy, intermediate and difficult slopes, as well as cross-country trails.

Ski Arlberg is known for its many slopes with excellent snow and very beautiful, wide pistes. The ski resort is also very popular with beginners, as they can ski on easy slopes across practically the entire resort. There is terrain for everyone.

In addition to the marked pistes, there are powder runs! St. Anton is especially popular with skiers because of its numerous ski routes, including the famous Schindlerkar route. Ski routes also lead to Schröcken and Zug, as well as from Kriegerhorn, Trittkopf and Rüfikopf to Lech.

Valluga-St. Anton. Length: 10 km. Vertical drop: 1347 m.

Zuger Hochlicht-Lech (Lech). Length: 6 km. Vertical drop: 927 m.

Falken-Schröcken (Schröcken). Length: 4 km. Vertical drop: 780 m.

Most difficult runs

Langer Zug (Lech). Length: 0.8 km. Vertical drop: 373 m. The Lange Zug pitch, reaching 80%, is particularly impressive at the top. And all this over a length of just 391 m with a vertical drop of 199 m.

Fang (St. Anton). Length: 2 km. Vertical drop: 546 m.

Snowparks

“Lech Snowpark”: 10 jumps, rails and boxes - 10, 2 lines of varying difficulty. There is a line for beginners. According to the resort’s official website.

Features

Speed measurement course - free of charge. At the Rendl lift’s mountain station in the snowpark (St. Anton), the “Speed Check” race course is near the Kuchl mountain station (Schröcken) and the Wibermadh lift (Lech).

Free public race course with time measurement. A giant slalom course on Rendl (St. Anton), a parallel giant slalom running below Salaberkopf on the Sonnencruiser lift (Schröcken), near the Wartherhorn lift (Warth), near the Hinterwies lift with a photo point (Lech), and next to the Children's lift (Zürs).

SkiMovie lets you create and download your own ski video - free of charge. It is located next to the Steffisalp Express / near the Wannenkopf lift in Warth and on the Hinterweis lift in Lech.

Ski Arlberg offers modern lifts.

The new 10-person Flexen gondola created a link between Stuben (Alpe Rauz) and Zürs and back, completing the connection across Austria’s largest ski resort. Additional new 10-person gondolas, Albonabahn II, Trittkopfbahn I and II, quickly take guests to the mountain stations.

Modern lifts and gondolas are available to guests in St. Anton am Arlberg, St. Christoph and Stuben. The highlight is the Galzig lift with its Ferris wheel at the entrance. Lifts are regularly modernised to provide resort guests with quality and comfort. For example, the new Tanzböden lift, a high-speed detachable six-seater with weather protection, has an automatic child restraint with an automatic opening and closing mechanism, an automatic locking mechanism, and reduced entry height and speed at the stations.

The ski area around Lech, Zürs, Warth and Schröcken also has modern lifts. Most chairlifts are equipped with weather protection and heated seats. Fast lifts are also available near the beginners’ base area. Since the 2013/2014 season, the 10-person Auenfeldjet gondola has connected the Lech / Zürs and Warth / Schröcken ski resorts.
