Sonnenkopf - Klösterle

The family-friendly Sonnenkopf ski resort is located right at the foot of the world-famous Arlberg, near Klösterle. Winter sports enthusiasts will find what they are looking for at Sonnenkopf. Whether skiing, carving, snowboarding, sledding, winter hiking or après-ski, you can enjoy a true skiing experience at Sonnenkopf. The slopes in the Sonnenkopf winter sports area are groomed exclusively with natural snow and reach an altitude of 2300 m. Freeriders and beginners alike will find plenty of interesting opportunities at this ski resort.

The Sonnenkopf ski area offers a good balance of easy and intermediate slopes. The wide slopes on Riedkopf are ideal for skiers and thrill-seekers. If you are looking for something more challenging, the eastern part of the Glattingrat ski area offers numerous intermediate slopes. Beginners will feel comfortable on the slopes around the mountain station of the Sonnenkopf lift.

There is no artificial snowmaking at the resort.

Longest piste

The longest descent here is From Glattingrat to the valley station in Klösterle, measuring 7.5 km, with a vertical drop of 1300 m.

Most difficult piste

The most challenging run is the Klostertaler downhill run Bärenloch, measuring 0.8 km, with a vertical drop of 236 m.

Snowparks

There is no snowpark or fun park.

There is no halfpipe.

A modern 8-passenger gondola takes guests to the ski area in just a few minutes. The Sattelkopf T-bar provides access to the four-seat Obermuri chairlift, which connects to the eastern part of the ski area via two double lifts, Obermoos and Glattingrat. You can also access the four-seat Riedkopf chairlift from the mountain station.
