What visitors say about the resort
Calm and the view earn the praise. The top station is the highest in the Bregenzerwald, and in clear weather the summit offers a full circle of hundreds of peaks and Lake Constance. Reviewers like the scale: small but not boring, with well groomed pistes and mountain restaurants that get their own compliments. The valley descent is the headline act, running from the summit to the bottom without a change of lift.
Aspect and that same valley run attract the criticism. Most slopes face south, so in mild weather the snow turns to slush by the middle of the day. The valley descent many people come for is closed often, and something like every other review warns about it. Confident skiers find the area too small, covering everything in a day. The freeride reputation is not confirmed by all either, since there are no pronounced off-piste zones.
