What visitors say about the resort

The praise is for the price: lift passes and lodging both cost far less than in the Alps, and lift queues are all but unknown. Reviewers say the pistes are well groomed and cover a range of abilities, from broad blues by the gondola to the steep black on Konjarnik. Lift staff and instructors draw warm words, as do the local cooking and the mountain itself, with its clean air, quiet and near-empty slopes.

The thin skiing draws criticism: the mileage is small, confident skiers say they are bored by the second or third day, and there are only a few lifts. Some reviewers report poorly maintained pistes. Accommodation is scattered away from the lifts, shuttles and taxis are scarce, and with no public transport to the resort a car is close to essential. Staff at budget guesthouses rarely speak English, and the choice of bars and restaurants is small enough that tables need booking ahead.
