Bansko

The ski pistes at Bansko resort are located on the northern slopes of Mount Pirin in two main ski centres: CHALIN VALOG (1100-1600 m) and SHILIGARNIKA (1700-2500 m).

The ski centres are located about 10 km from the town. They are easily reached from Bansko in about 25 minutes by gondola lift. The total length of marked pistes is more than 50 km.

Excellent skiing conditions are maintained here from December to April. The ski season lasts longer thanks to 44 TechnoAlpin snow cannons, which cover most of the slopes. There are also 12 Kassbohrer snow groomers.

For snowboarders, there is an extreme entertainment park - the first in the Balkans. Snowboarders can hone their skills here. Snow sports enthusiasts can take part in various competitions held on the new piste at Shiligarnika.

The total length of lift infrastructure in Bansko is 21.9 km. Bansko has an 8-seater gondola lift, five high-speed four-seat Doppelmayr chairlifts and one 3-seat Poma lift. Ski and snowboard equipment can be used with a SkiData chip card.

Large monitors are located at the first gondola lift station. The monitors provide information about wind and temperature on different pistes.

Bansko's ski centres offer pistes for all types of skiers, a 5 km cross-country trail, the 3 km Rollbahn ski piste, slalom and giant slalom pistes, and much more!
