What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for playful terrain and tree skiing: there are proper steeps among the trees between the top of the Hueenerchoepf quad and Furgglis, while the pistes wind past chalets. The run straight down to the car park gets singled out as one of the best ski-in finishes around on a powder day. Queues are unknown, as the lifts spread people evenly over the hill, and reviewers like the well-groomed pistes, the helpful lift staff and a village that has not been turned into a tourist machine.
Price is what draws the sharpest criticism: Tschiertschen is described as one of the most expensive resorts in the country, and plenty of visitors feel the skiing does not justify it. The second complaint is scale: the area suits beginners and intermediates, there is nothing genuinely serious within the boundaries, and strong skiers exhaust it quickly. The choice of places to eat is limited too.
