Jakobshorn (Davos Klosters)

Jakobshorn ski resort is the mountain for freestyle riders. Daredevils take on Jatz Park and the superpipe. At Jatz Park, four lines offer more than twenty features, including kickers and rails. You can party in several ski huts and continue the celebrations at the famous Bolgen Plaza at the foot of Jakobshorn. Special events are scheduled in Bolgen throughout the winter season, including international snowboard competitions, freestyle contests and the annual Youth Snow Sports Day in Davos. The Bolgen superpipe is shaped every Monday and Thursday and floodlit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Good to know

Jakobshorn has slopes of all difficulty levels. Wide, well-groomed pistes dominate above the triple chairlift. There are plenty of off-piste opportunities. Both valley runs follow easy slopes or cross-country trails through wooded areas to the base. Easy runs for beginners are located close to the base in Bolgen.

Additional information

Cross-country trails lead to Teufi and Mühle. A ski bus takes you back to the base station in Davos Platz.

Connection information

The Davos Klosters Mountain lift pass is valid for Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn, Madrisa and Pischa. The base lifts in Klosters are also included, but Schatzalp requires an additional ticket. The ski areas can be reached by the Rhaetian Railway or by bus.

140 snow cannons cover 85% of the slopes.

There is a descent to the valley from the slopes. Both valley runs are cross-country trails leading to the base station.

Longest run

The longest run here is Jakobshorn-Davos Platz (Nos. 8, 9 and 10), 6 km long with a vertical drop of 1,050 m.

Hardest run

The most difficult is Slope No. 7 Usser Isch Grün, 1 km long with a vertical drop of 323 m.

Additional offers

There is an avalanche training centre near the Fuxaegufer mountain station. Here, you can practise using avalanche search equipment correctly in real-life conditions. The training centre is a 100 x 100 m area on moderately steep terrain featuring a realistic avalanche site. Use of the training centre is free, but a valid lift pass is required for the lifts. You must bring your own search equipment.

Guests reach Jakobshorn ski resort by gondola or by the double lift. The ski resort itself has almost exclusively high-speed chairlifts, some with weather protection. The world's first T-bar was installed in Bolgen in 1934.
