Ylläs

Ylläs ski resort is located in Lapland (Finland, northern Finland). It offers 53 km of pistes for skiing and snowboarding.

Pallas-Yllästunturi National Park surrounds Ylläs. The Lapland villages of Yllasjarvi and Akaslompolo lie on opposite sides of the Ylläs valley and offer scenic, colourful village landscapes on the shores of lakes. The villages offer local produce and village activities in an international atmosphere. They are connected by Maisematie (Scenic Road), which rises to 400 m above sea level.

The ski resort offers a good mix of pistes, with easy runs near the valley, many intermediate runs and several difficult pistes in the upper section. Around 50% of the pistes have floodlighting.

The main lift is the Ylläs gondola, which takes guests to the highest point in 7 minutes and provides access to most of the southern slopes. The only alternative way to reach the resort is by T-bar lifts.

There is a valley run from the slopes.

Longest piste

The longest run here is Ylipitkä & Pikkuaenrinne (No. 16 & 15), 3.2 km long, with a vertical drop of 464 m.

Most difficult piste

The most difficult is Superrinne (No. 25), 0.9 km long, with a vertical drop of 252 m.
