Anzère is a ski resort in the Valais region (Switzerland). Most of the skiing is on intermediate runs - a profile that suits most skiers.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for wide, sunny pistes and the panorama over the Rhone valley: the slopes are called roomy and well groomed, with plenty of off-piste alongside. The village reads as quiet and welcoming, its square is car-free, and the children's lift and toboggan run start right there. Midweek there is hardly any queueing, prices are considered moderate by Valais standards, and the ski school draws steady praise.
The old Les Rousses - Le Bâté chair draws criticism: it is called slow, it has sat idle for whole seasons, and on busy days the longest line forms there. The bottom of Les Rousses is another bottleneck, since the three-seater also serves the toboggan run. At weekends the nearness of Sion brings crowds. The southerly aspect works against the snow, which turns quickly without fresh falls, and some slopes are left ungroomed. Evenings are quiet, with diners heading to Crans-Montana.
