This is the largest area in the Val di Fassa, assembled from four mountains above Canazei, Campitello, Alba and Pozza di Fassa; the last was joined to the rest in 2015/16 by the Funifor Alba-Col dei Rossi. The Sellaronda circuit starts from the Belvedere, with the Marmolada standing opposite. The valley is Ladin: the third language of South Tyrol is spoken in the streets here, not only in guidebooks. In the evening the floodlit Aloch piste operates at Pozza di Fassa.

What visitors say about the resort

Canazei and Val di Fassa are praised for their location on the Sella Ronda: it is convenient to start the circular route around the Sella massif from here. Visitors highlight the views of Marmolada and prices lower than in Val Gardena.

The main complaints concern crowds: in high season, there are bottlenecks on the Sella Ronda, while the gondola from Canazei develops a queue in the morning. Another issue is that the Ciampac and Buffaure sectors are connected to the rest only by bus.
