Trail information
Two quiet villages, Mont de Lans and Venosc, are connected at a pass 1,650 m high, forming Les 2 Alpes. The resort stretches for 2 km across a plateau, from which all the slopes and lifts lead.
Les 2 Alpes has slopes for all ability levels. Most are above average. The upper slopes are usually gentler, while those lower down are steeper. In summer, the glacier slopes are open.
Most lifts are gondolas and chairlifts, but there are several T-bars in the beginner areas and on the glacier. Most lifts are high-speed detachable lifts, but none have weather protection.

Longest piste
The longest descent here is Dôme de la Lauze-Mont de Lans (Les 2 Alpes), 16 km long, with a vertical drop of 2,280 m. From the highest point of the ski resort on the glacier to the lowest point in Mont de Lans.
Most difficult piste
La Fée 5. Length: 2 km. Vertical drop: 400 m. La Fée 5 is a very steep and enjoyable piste for experienced skiers.
Snowparks

Getting there
Les 2 Alpes can be reached from Lyon Airport in 2 hours 5 minutes. The most convenient option is to rent a car through the cars-scanner service.

Les 2 Alpes is valued for its glacier and vertical drop: descending from 3,600 m gives more than two kilometres of vertical skiing, which is unusual in the Alps. Visitors praise the summer glacier skiing and the strong snowpark.
Criticism focuses on the layout of the ski area: the upper pistes are short and gentle, while essentially one long descent leads downhill, becoming crowded by the afternoon. Visitors also complain about the village - noisy and stretched along a single street - and about wind on the glacier, which can lead to the upper area being closed.
