Lindvallen/Högfjället ski resort is part of the Sälen ski region. It is managed by SkiStar, the largest ski resort company in Scandinavia. The Högfjellet and Lindvallen ski areas, with Hemfjället and Sälfjället mountains, are directly linked by lifts and pistes. Most pistes are below the treeline. They cover all levels of difficulty. In the valley, the winter sports resort offers an impressive choice of hotels and holiday homes with direct access to the slopes. Sälen is especially popular with families and beginners.

Good to know

The Lindvallen/Högfjellet ski area has pistes of all difficulty levels. Most slopes in both areas are easy and intermediate. Lindvallen also has three advanced slopes. The pistes in Lindvallen run through wide forest clearings down to the valley. In Högfjället, most pistes are on open slopes above the treeline. The two ski areas are linked by long, flat pistes. To reach them, you need to use a 3-seater chairlift, drag lifts and button lifts. It takes about 45 minutes to get from one area to the other.

Button lifts and magic carpets are available in the beginner and children's areas. Lindvallen has several high-speed chairlifts, including Sweden's first 8-seater chairlift. A slow 3-seater lift and various ski lifts connect Högfjället with Lindvallen.
