Madrisa (Davos Klosters)

A gondola takes winter sports enthusiasts to Madrisa ski resort. Younger guests in the Davos Klosters region can play in the snow, build snow huts or ski. From the 2016/2017 winter season, a new six-person lift for people with disabilities takes guests to Schaffürggli (2,394 m). Madrisa winter sports resort has pistes of all difficulty levels for skiing and snowboarding. There are no easy slopes from the resort's highest point, Rätschenjoch (2,602 m). The valley run to Klosters is also suitable only for experienced skiers. The Madrisahof mountain restaurant and the recently built Madrisa-Alp self-service restaurant offer food and drinks to visitors on Klosters' local mountain.

Worth knowing

Madrisa ski resort is dominated by wide slopes running above the forest. Most slopes are intermediate. Easy slopes are located at the Madrisa lift's mountain station. The difficult valley run is the only slope leading through the forest.

Connection information

The Davos Klosters Mountain lift pass is valid for Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Rinerhorn, Madrisa and Pischa. The base lifts in Klosters are also included, but Schatzalp requires an additional ticket. The ski areas can be reached by the Rhaetian Railway or by bus.

The longest run here is Mountain station Madrisa-Klosters Dorf, 8 km long, with a vertical drop of 1,460 m.

Most difficult run

The most difficult run is Direttissima, 1.5 km long, with a vertical drop of 320 m.

Airboarding is an inflatable high-tech snowboard. It is controlled by shifting your body weight and gives you the feeling of flying over the snow. This 100% Swiss invention can be used on all the toboggan runs in the Davos-Klosters mountains, including Madrisa.

A four-person gondola leads from Klosters to the ski resort. From there, you can reach Schaffürggli on a modern six-person chairlift with weather protection and heated seats. This lift is the first children's and adaptive chairlift in Switzerland. The Zügenhüttli double chairlift provides the return connection to the Madrisa lift's mountain station.
