The Gargellen ski resort is located in Montafon (Austria, Vorarlberg, Bludenz). It offers 28.1 km of pistes and 5.5 km of cross-country trails for skiing and snowboarding. There are also 8 lifts transporting guests.
Gargellen is the highest winter sports village in Montafon, at an altitude of 1,423 m. The ski resort extends up to 2,300 m. Pleasant pistes, plenty of space for carving and the magic of the snow cover, including the Nidla variation and the legendary slope with 387 turns. The Gargellen ski resort is also an excellent choice for families: the Schafberg plateau is not only extensive and beautifully located, but also fairly flat, making it an excellent playground for children and beginners. Many slopes lead down to the valley and finish directly opposite hotels and bed and breakfasts in Gargellen.
Worth knowing
The Gargellen ski resort offers slopes of all difficulty levels. The treeless slopes of the Schafberg plateau include wide, easy pistes for beginners. The easy Täli slope leads from the Kristall lift's mountain station through an untouched valley to Gargellner Alpe. Three beautiful valleys lead to Gargellen: the intermediate Schnapfenwald piste, the easy Birkenegg piste and the easy Schwefeltobel piste. The Schafberg plateau also has a fun slope for children and adults. Practice slopes in the base area complete the offering.

Four ski routes (Kristall, Standard, Gandasee and Rinderhütte) are located in the upper part of the ski resort. There are also three very steep variations (Nidla, Spielmannskopf and the steep Madrisa slope)
83 snow cannons cover 50% of the slopes.

The longest run here is the Valley run Madrisa and Birkenegg (No. 5 and 2b), 6 km long with a vertical drop of 877 m.

The modern 8-seat gondola quickly takes guests from the base to the ski resort. The Kristall lift, a 6-seater chairlift with weather protection and heated seats, provides access to slopes of all difficulty levels on the Schafberg plateau. The 4-seater Gargellner Köpfe chairlift provides access to the easy slopes on the Schafberg plateau. The double Gargellner Alpe-Schafberg chairlift takes winter sports enthusiasts back up the mountain after skiing through Täli. Several T-bars and lifts are also spread throughout the ski resort and on the outskirts of Gargellen.
