Orelle is a ski resort in the Northern Alps region (France).

The ski area rises from 900 to 3,200 m, with a 2,300 m vertical drop. This vertical drop allows you to ski from top to bottom without changing lifts and noticeably changes the conditions during the descent. The upper pistes are high, so the snow lasts longer than on the nearby lower slopes. The season usually runs from 21 November to 2 May.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for fast, cheap entry to the Trois Vallées: the two-stage gondola lifts you from the village to Cime Caron in about twenty minutes, and even when a weekend queue forms it moves quickly, loading dozens of people a minute. The slopes face north so the snow keeps better, and reviewers find far more space and untracked freeride lines than over in Val Thorens. Parking is free and the motorway is close.
Lift reliability draws criticism: guests recall breakdowns that forced them to drive elsewhere for the day. The second complaint is the emptiness at the bottom - the village offers almost nothing, après-ski amounts to a single bar by the lift, and evenings are dead. Against that thin offering, some find accommodation prices too high.
