The ski area rises from 1,200 to 2,690 m, with a vertical drop of 1,490 m. This vertical allows you to ski from top to bottom without changing lifts and creates noticeably different conditions during the descent. The upper pistes are at a high altitude, so snow lasts longer than on the nearby lower slopes. The season usually runs from 11 December to 10 April.

What visitors say about the resort
The praise is for price and calm: lift passes cost far less than in neighbouring Ischgl, family deals exist and lodging is cheaper too. Reviewers like the wide sunny slopes and the varied terrain, with freeride lines between the pistes. A gondola leaves straight from the village centre, and the ski school nursery area and kids' club sit at the mid-station. The long toboggan run and floodlit evening skiing get special mention.
Size is what draws criticism: after Ischgl the place feels tiny, a strong skier covers it in a day, and for serious mileage people still drive up the valley. Not every lift is modern, and one old four-seat chair without a bubble is singled out as painfully slow. Some hotels can only be reached with snow chains in winter. Après-ski and nightlife are essentially absent, which party-minded visitors find plainly dull.
