What visitors say about the resort
The appeal, say the reviews, is the absence of fuss: no queues, empty pistes and a genuinely cheap pass, which is what makes this small station worth choosing over its famous neighbour. The north-facing aspect helps hold the snow, and the runs among the larches plus the easy off-piste are prized by those who turn up after a fall. Families get a nursery lift and a snow front for sledging at the base, and the plain, warm welcome is singled out.
Minimal infrastructure is the weak point. There is no chairlift at all, everything hangs on drag lifts, and those tows are considered hard work for children and true beginners. At the bottom a single outlet doubles as ticket office and cafe; the village has barely any shops open year-round, so visitors are told to bring supplies. There is no pool and no ice rink, and after-ski and dining choice are rated at the very bottom.
