Sljeme (Medvednica) - Zagreb is a popular ski resort on the slopes of Medvednica Hill (1035 m), 15 km from Zagreb. The resort has 5 km of intermediate pistes across 5 runs served by 4 lifts. Floodlights at the ski resort make it possible to ski at night.
The ski runs and lifts are located on the upper ridge and northern slopes of Medvednica. The runs start at the very top and have a total length of around 4000 m.
Three ski lifts have a combined capacity of around 3300 skiers per hour. Most slopes are equipped with snowmaking systems. The ski resort's lighting system also allows night skiing. Night skiing is scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 19:00 to 22:00.

Sljeme is praised for its proximity to Zagreb: it is half an hour from the city centre, making it possible to ski after work. Visitors highlight the Snow Queen World Cup run and the pleasant surrounding forest.
The drawbacks are obvious: the ski area is tiny, the vertical drop is around 300 m, snow does not last long and depends entirely on snow cannons. The second issue is the crowds on weekends. It is not generally considered a destination in its own right.
