Platak offers skiing and snowboarding on the slopes of Radeševo Mountain (1363 m), with stunning views of the Adriatic Sea and the islands of Krk, Cres and Lošinj. Platak is in northern Croatia, east of Rijeka, with the nearest railway station west of Delnice. Platak has 8 km of fairly well-maintained pistes.
The ski area is at a relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Platak is valued for its unusual setting: the Adriatic is visible from the slopes, and it is half an hour from the sea, so you can ski in the morning and walk around Rijeka in the afternoon. Visitors praise the prices and the lack of crowds on weekdays.
The main complaint is the snow: the proximity to the sea means frequent thaws and rain, and the season is short and unpredictable. The second issue is that there are very few pistes and the lifts are old. Fog is another common complaint.
