Ski resorts in Southern Ural Mountains
The Southern Urals are the most accessible ski area for central and eastern Russia. The mountains are old and low, with vertical drops rarely exceeding 300 m, but winter is long here: the season opens in November and reliably lasts until April.
Abzakovo and Metallurg-Magnitogorsk on the shore of Bannoye Lake form Bashkortostan's main ski hub. Adzhigardak near Asha offers the area's longest pistes - more than 2 km.

Magnitogorsk ski resort is located in the Republic of Bashkortostan (Volga Federal District). There are 7 km of pistes for skiing and snowboarding. 3 lifts transport guests. The winter sports area is located between elevations of 490 and 943 m.
